Turning on the lights

Engraving 101 Lights Up

As you can see, some simple LEDs, or in this case a red CCFL, can really bring your hard work into the lime-light (or red light, in this case).

Conclusion

I can only say that there are thousands of small tricks and techniques that you can use to perfect your design, but I've tried to get in all the basic things that you need to think about in this guide. Engraving is great fun and it can take your mods to a whole new level. Its easy to get started and if you only take it slow and don't rush your work, you will get good results.

I hope that you have enjoyed this little guide and that it has been of some use. Now, I'm off to start working on my next big case mod that will eventually show up here on bit-tech, so I'll let you get to work on your own project. I'll leave you with a few pictures of engravings that I've done in the past that can hopefully inspire you to try this yourself.
